Case History:

46 yo male with late effects of cervical spinal cord injury

Trigger point ultrasound, Myofascial Release, Active Release, stretching and exercise rehabilitation were all utilized in assisting these tissues to heal and return their most functional state.

After a period of 5 months, the Deltopectoral fascia had greater flexibility, ROM for his upper extremity had dramatically improved as well as strength. The hole (descriptive) in his left upper trapezius was gone. Its ends had rejoined, the inside had built up and the trapezius muscle had healed.

Question: Knowing the results of the treatment for the hole (descriptive) what would be your diagnosis of the trapezius muscle prior to treatment?
