The International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (IBCN) of the International Academy of Clinical Neurology (IACN) requires a minimum of 300 classroom hours of post-graduate level neurology training in a program provided to Doctors of Chiropractic under the auspices of a Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) Accredited Chiropractic College in order to be eligible to sit for the Diplomate Examination leading to a Diplomate of the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DIBCN).

Currently the board (IBCN) has allows up to 288 distance education (online) hours. Regardless of how many live hours and how many distance education hours, the total must be more than 300 and you must pass the same written/practical examination in order to be certified. The course coordinator currently recommends 12-48 hours are taken in a live, practical format (class or rounds), depending upon your existing level of clinical skills.

 

You can complete selected classes leading to Neurology Certificates. You can work for this over time so that when you earn all of the Chiropractic Neurology Certificates, you will accure the majority of the hours necessary to be eligible to sit for the Diplomate examination through the IBCN. All of our classes are sponsored by the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic, a CCE accredited college. Certificates will be awarded by ChiroCredit.com, sponsored by the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. All Chiropractic Neurology Certificate hours apply towards the online portion of the Neurology Diplomate.
