Maine Naturopathic Continuing Education Requirements: 37 hours annually
Maine Accepts 15 hours of Online Naturopathic Continuing Education Courses
Special Requirements:
At least 7 hours shall be in pharmacology.
No more than 15 hours may be in naturopathic and/or medical journals or audio- or videotaped presentations, slides, programmed instruction or computer-assisted instruction and/or preceptorships.
No more than 10 hours may be in any single topic.
Naturopathic doctors who hold a specialty certification in naturopathic acupuncture must complete an additional 15 hours of continuing education annually, specific to that specialty. The additional 15 hours of continuing education required for specialty certification in acupuncture shall meet the standards of continuing education for acupuncturists as described in chapter 5, section 2 (B) of the rules.
