Course Description: Regular exercise confers significant benefits for health and wellness. National guidelines from the US Department of Health and Human Services and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology advise that all healthy pregnant women should engage routinely in exercise, after consultation with a care provider. Exercise is safe and beneficial for most pregnant women and their fetuses. This course will explore the various types of exercise and the benefits and physiology of exercise during pregnancy.
