AT specialists use the Human Activity Assistive Technology frame of reference to guide their evaluation, treatment, selection, and training process as it also takes into account the context in which AT devices would be used. AT devices include augmentative and alternative communication, electronic cognitive devices, wheeled mobility, electronic aides to daily living, adaptive computer access, and adaptive sports.
